ABOUT the chorus

 

The Mid-Hudson Women's Chorus is a choir based in the Hudson Valley. The group traditionally performs two seasonal concerts — one in early winter and one in the spring. Our group also occasionally performs at area adult residences, seasonal events, and other community venues.

 

Rehearsals and most concerts take place at the St. James United Methodist Church, which is located at 35 Pearl Street in Kingston, NY (on the northwest corner of Pearl and Fair Streets). 

 

Proceeds from ticket sales and advertisers go not only towards the group's expenses, but also to providing an annual scholarship to a local high school graduate who will be pursuing a degree in music. Selection of the scholarship recipient is based on an application and an audition (or tape).  A committee makes the final selection.
