She is currently the Organist and Choir Director at Rondout Valley United Methodist Church where in addition to weekly music, they present annual Easter and Christmas Cantatas for the community with an ecumenical choir and area instrumentalists. Wendy has been a longtime fan of the Mid-Hudson Women's Chorus and looks forward to becoming part of its musical tradition.
About us
The group traditionally performs two seasonal concerts - one in the early winter and one in the spring.
In addition our group performs at area adult residences and other community venues.
Rehearsals and most concerts take place at the St. James United Methodist Church which is located on the Northwest corner of Pearl and Fair Streets in Kingston, NY.
Proceeds from ticket sales and advertisers go not only towards the group's expenses, but also to provide an annual scholarship to an area high school graduate who will be pursuing a degree in music. Selection of the scholarship recipient is based on an application and an audition (or tape). A committee makes the final selection. Applications are available in the Spring through High School music departments or use our website contact form to inquire.
