Each year the Mid-Hudson Women's Chorus awards a $500 (or more, depending on our available scholarship fund) scholarship to a graduating high school student from Ulster County who will attend college to continue their education in the music field. The application should be available at all of the local high schools. When available, you can also print out the application that will be attached to a button below. Our applications are available in the spring. Feel free to make copies to share with the school Guidance Counselor, Music Teachers, and Scholarship Committee (if the school has one). Application availability and deadlines will be posted. This year, thanks to the generostity of the Zucca sisters, we can once again offer a $1000 Scholarship! Marge Gagnon, our devoted treasurer for many years, passed away in March 2025.
Henceforth, our scholarship will be known as:
The Margaret L Gagnon Memorial Scholarship

The 2025 Margaret L Gagnon Memorial Scholarship has been awarded to
Brooke Oreglio, a senior at Kingston High School. Brooke participates in marching band, concert band, jazz band, mixed chorus, choir caroling group, theatre and jazz ensemble. Her musical achievements include Area All-State and NYSSMA. In addition to music, Brooke also participates in JV/varsity soccer and travel soccer. Brooke will be attending Ithaca college where she plans to major in music education and vocal performance.
